Softwares like SnagIt and Jing are all excellent to do screen captures, but if you need something quick and dirty, they can be a hassle. Save time and effort by using these great Firefox Add-ons to do your screen captures. They do all the basic stuff without having to open any software or program:
1. Talon
In addition to taking screenshots, Talon allows you edit them directly from your browser. No need to open an external editor to crop/resize the images. You can save your images to desktop, upload online or edit through any of the Aviary tools.

2. Fireshot
Besides taking screenshots and editing them within the browser, FireShot also to annotate the screenshot, email it or send it to an external editor. The keyboard shortcuts make screen capturing really quick and easy. The only downside is unavailability for MAC or Linux.

3. ScreenGrab
ScreenGrab allows you to save complete web pages or individual frames. Unlike other tools, it also captures the flash and Java embedded in a web page. Also supports MAC and Linux.

One click screen capture of any web page or region. Upload your images for free to Pict.com or save to your local drive. The best of this add-on is the feature to right-click on any image you see on a web site and upload it to your Pict.com account.
