After making its presence felt as a web application, Klout has finally embarked upon its transition into a mobile app and the first installment of this transition has been released as an iPhone app, with an Android version currently in the pipeline. Just like its cyberspace version, Klout’s iPhone app is meant to find a measure of a person’s influence on the basis of his or her social networking skills through the leading social media like Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Twitter and Foursquare. The influence is measured by giving out scores ranging from 0 to 100, with higher scores denoting higher influence.
As a novel feature, the app displays your influence score as part of the icon it saves in your phone’s applications folder. Although for now, it does not allow you to give out influence scores or +K to anyone yet, the feature will soon be made available. With the app, users can not only monitor their influence, but can also follow the topics with the most influence, find out if they received any +Ks recently, people who find them influential and vice versa, and to browse for other people’s Klout scores and profiles.

The good thing about Klout’s iPhone app is that it allows you to customize the app according to your own preferences, letting you choose the features you want to use and which updates you wish to be notified about. Moreover, you can share the latest happenings on your account through your social networks as well.
