Google recently released their quick search box and it sounds like another amazing thing to make our lives easier. Using the QSB (Quick Search Box), you can not only search stuff on your computer or on the web, but you also get a single-click access to it.

Moreover, Google QSB has a built in support for Twitter so you don’t need to use an extra application just to tweet. Here are the complete instructions on how to tweet using your QSB:

To tweet using Google Quick Search Box, you’ll first need to associate your Twitter account with the Quick Search Box:

  1. Click the down arrow on the right-hand side of the search box.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Click the Add Accounts tab.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Select ‘Twitter’ as the account type you’d like to associate with the Quick Search Box.
  6. Enter your account name and password. Your password will be stored in the standard Apple keychain.
  7. Click Setup.

Once your account is set up, you can tweet by following these steps:

  1. Open the Quick Search Box.
  2. Enter the text you want to tweet. Don’t forget Twitter’s 140 character limit!
  3. Select the result offering a Google search for what you’ve entered.
  4. Press Tab on your keyboard to see your possible actions.
  5. Select Send Twitter Status.
  6. Press Enter on your keyboard.

Once you are done, you will receive a notification that your Twitter status has been updated.

Unfortunately, the Twitter integration for QSB is only available in the MAC version right now.
