Small things with big impact in Windows amuse me. I have been using Windows OS for last 15 years now but I still find something new all of the time. Learning a few keyboard shortcuts is one of the easiest things you can do to make better use of your time on the computer.
You might be aware of common shortcuts for Windows for select, copy, paste and some other but there is a built-in shortcut feature in Windows for creating keyboard shortcut for any application at the touch of a button.
Setting up a keyboard shortcut for any application in your start menu is fast and simple. Steps below explain how to create program shortcuts in Windows:
Navigate the start menu to the application you want to shortcut. In this example, we will create a shortcut for the Notepad.
· Right-click on the application, and click on Properties.
· In the Properties window, you’ll see a field titled Shortcut key. Go to that field and type the letter N (or any other key you wish to use to launch the Notepad).
Click OK
Now, whenever you want to quickly launch Notepad, just hit Ctrl-Alt-N (or whatever key you chose).
I use application launch shortcut keys all the time for Notepad. You can use it for those programs you constantly use and are sick of navigating through the Start menu to launch.
Try doing it for other application and see what Windows has to offer for you that is VALUABLE!!

This is Off-Topic, but I need help so I have to ask:
IS THERE A WAY TO SHUT-OFF Google TALK on a Computer PERMANENTLY??
Is there some PORT or PLUG-IN THAT I CAN TWEAK??
Thank you in advance.

I have used this technique for shutdown, restart
and system restore shortcuts.
I urge you to checkout the launching service
keybreeze (at keybreeze.com). It does an
initial analysis of your system and then allows
launching of programs, note/word pad, individual files, folders, music and a multitude of other
things. It even has a few addons/plugins; one of which allows you to put your computer into hibernation with a specific wake up time. To play a play an individual mp3, I just launch
keybreeze (see below), type “p song name” without the quotes and type enter.
To launch keybreeze, you just type the “;”
key and then type your key word or abbreviation
into the text box which opens.
Keybreeze is well worth a look and trial.
