If there is even a little bit of artistic streak in you or you love to kill time drawing random objects, you may want to check out Paper by Fifty Three, a recently launched iPad app that is made for anyone wanting to flex his artistic muscles. Defined by its impressive user interface, Paper is a treat for anyone – be it someone with definitive aesthetic capabilities or even someone who lacks them. The amazing resolution and the variety of options offered by this app are just what you need to fall in love with it and just start drawing!

To begin with, the app gives every user two virtual blank notebooks to begin drawing on as well as an additional journal from the app developers, which is known as ‘Making Paper’. Once you start browsing through the journal, you will come to see what Paper the app is all about, right from its provisions for artistic expressions, a built-in planner, a memo and a large variety of tools to work with.

Creating a custom-made journal is also very easy as all you are required to is to tap on the + tab. By tapping the ‘i’ tab, you can start add your own personal touch to the journal. For the cover page of the journal, you can select an image from your iPad’s photo collection, giving you a large selection of images to choose from. As you start working on your notebook, you have the freedom to delete any page you like, even share it with your Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr friends, or email it as an attachment.

Make sure that you don’t fall for Fifty Three’s claim that the app is for free, however, because apart from downloading the app in its most basic form, nothing else about it is for free. A price tag of $1.99 is attached to each tool or brush that you want to add to your Paper collection, whereas the whole ‘Essentials’ pack can be downloaded for $7.99.
Paper can easily be downloaded from iTunes.
