b 300x190 4 Cool Features Of Bing Travel Search

Everybody is talking about Bing since Microsoft launched it recently. One of the things that is different at Bing is the travel search section. Bing combines the technology of Farecast and Orbitz to provide you with current fares along with future price predictions. Here are some of the interesting features that might send Bing apart when it comes to travels earch:

1. Price Predictor:

Using the Farecast technology, Bing offers something that sites like Orbitz and Expedia don’t. Once you search for a fare, Bing suggests if it is a good time to buy or if you should wait for a few more days.

2. Drag Filter:

Looking to narrow down you search results by price? Simply drag the price range bar and Bing will update results instantly. It saves you from going back and doing another more narrowed search.

3. Buy Directly From the Airline:

When you select a flight you like, Bing will take you directly to the airline website to buy the ticket. So you do get the search features similar to sites like Orbitz and Travelocity but you also get to buy the tickets directly from the airline, cutting down the middle man.

4. Comparison to Other Travel Sites:

You don’t need to go to Expedia or CheapTickets to see their rates, Bing lets you compare fares across major travel sites by just cliking their logo. No need to enter the details of your flight again.

Time will tell how Bing turns out to be as an overall search engine, but at least the Travel Search segment of Bing looks very promising.
