Nice images sliding by on the top when you’re browsing a website. Yes. Slide shows can really spruce up the whole look and feel of a website. If you’ve been dying to get one for your blog or portal, here’s how.
SlideMyPics is a free web-based Slideshow creator. Drum up a quick HTML5 slideshow by feeding in the pictures you want in the slide show. And you don’t have to upload the images manually. Just login to your Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, Photo Bucket and SmugMug accounts and pick out the pictures you want. The application will extract them from there.
You can then organize the images any way you want, choose templates and background colors etc. and even add music or some audio commentary to go with the slideshow! The app allows you preview the Slide Show while you’re building it. Once you’re done, just copy the code to embed this slide show and paste it on your blog or website.
You can edit the later slideshows too. Just provide your e-mail address to SlideMyPics to get the link delivered to your mailbox. You can use that to edit your slide shows anytime you want. Definitely the pick of the week!
It would be great though if the website included some instructions and some music pieces to pick from. Also, it would be great if the pictures can be uploaded from your desktop. The current version only allows you to extract pictures from the five online web-albums.
