Would you want someone like Obama or Beyoncé to post something on your Facebook wall? Or do you know a quirky joke about a celebrity? Want to create a Facebook page about it? Well, it’s possible now, thanks to The Wall Machine. The Wall Machine app allows users to create fake Facebook pages, just for fun. At least that is the intention.
The website has a very clean look and the color tones remind you of Facebook. Coincidence? I think not. Clearly, it is to make navigation between the site and Facebook seamless. Everyone who is comfortable with Facebook will feel comfortable using The Wall Machine.
You have a one-minute tutorial video on the homepage. And the most popular and creative walls, referred to as the ‘Trending Walls’, are featured for you to have a laugh and see how the app can be used. Then, of course is that tempting button to create your own wall.
While the note next to the button boasts “No registration required”, clicking on the “Create Wall” tab will redirect you to the Facebook Login page. You have to give the application access to your Facebook Profile (which means sharing your personal information with them) in order to use the app. Sigh! There is no such thing as a free lunch.
It’s a crazy web app but doesn’t have a mobile version (yet!). It’s still a beta version, so we’re hoping for mobile-readiness to be released soon!
