Watching TV shows is more fun when it is on your iPhone or iPad. With Xfinity, you can enjoy your favorite shows, TV channels and movies on your iPhone/iPad on the long trip back home with a Wi-Fi or 3G internet connection.

- Watch Live TV using a WiFi connection
- Search for TV Shows and Movies easily with the Channel, Time and Date picker
- Pick something from the On Demand library
- Watch Premium Channels like HBO, Cinemax etc
- Schedule the recording of your favorite show remotely
- Set parental controls
However, you will need to have a fast wireless connection. The stronger the signal, the better the performance of the app. Another thing you will need in order to use this app is a Comcast ID or Comcast.net email address and password, XFINITY TV or Comcast Digital Video service and also a subscription to one or more eligible channels. Not to mention that it’s not available everywhere. Also, in order to use the remote TV and DVR features, your cable/set-top box should be compatible to the software.
The good thing about the new XFINITY TV app version is that the app now works even on iPhone and iPod touch. The initial version could only be used on the iPad.
The website claims that the problems with the earlier version, such as crashing and bugs, have been fixed so that there is no data loss.
